125 Years Jack the Ripper

Jack the Ripper is the best-known name given to an unidentified serial killer who was active in the largely impoverished areas in and around theWhitechapel district of London in 1888. The name originated in a letter, written by someone claiming to be the murderer, that was disseminated in the media. The letter is widely believed to have been a hoax, and may have been written by a journalist in a deliberate attempt to heighten interest in the story. Within the crime case files as well as journalistic accounts the killer was known as „the Whitechapel Murderer“ as well as „Leather Apron“. (source Wikipedia )

i don´t want to glorify this crimninal , but in fact , he gave a lot of movie director and  musicians stuff for their movies and music lyrics , i think it depends on the unknown , the unbelievable and the scarying behind , what fascinates the people still today . On August 31 1888 he killed his first of five victims may Ann Nichols , the last victim was mary Jane Kelly on November 9th 1888 . the killer never has been found , but there have been a lot of suspects , between them the doctor of her Majesty and the Prince himself
